Croyde Surf Scene

With its consistently good surf, Croyde is well known for being one of the best, if not the best, beach break in Britain, and as such is a Mecca for surfers.  There are two other great surfing beaches nearby – Putsborough and Saunton Sands – which make Croyde a great place to visit whether you are an experienced or novice surfer.  There are a number of local companies that provide lessons for beginners and those wishing to brush up on their skills including:

If you don't have your own equipment you can pickup new and used surfboards from one of the many surf shops in Croyde, Braunton, Ilfracombe and Woolacombe. Alternatively rent wetsuits and surfboards daily or weekly from the surf shops including:
